    ABOUT

Waltzing on Waves is the solo act of Twin Cities-based Artist & Neurodiversity Advocate, Jen Bluhm.  Generous, bittersweet, funny, sultry, & poignant, WoW cuts straight to the heart & dances you through heights & depths with her genre-bending, effortless iridescent vocals, sincere & provocative lyrics, & rich, enchanting melodies.

Waltzing on Waves' debut album, The One You Fell For, takes music adventurers on an unexpected & nostalgic listening holiday.  The collection is a uniquely compelling production with American Roots, Latin, & European influences, laced with dulcet harmonies & eclectic textures; featuring distinctive & dynamic vocals that soar from musical eras passed while sounding fresh & relevant to today's listening audiences.   The songs range from quirky toe-tappers to melancholy heartstring-tugging ballads to "take you to church" soul-clenchers that will leave you wondering what's next.

Experiencing WoW live has been compared to receiving an unexpected & deeply thoughtful gift.  Her demonstration of vocal technique & power is only topped by moments of tenderness, restraint, & vulnerability. Whether it be at the piano, ukulele,  or acoustic guitar, Waltzing on Waves is truly a one-woman show, both dynamic & intimate, that you won't want to miss - regardless of the time signature.

"Jen Bluhm's music is wildly generous and healing for the masses. Her voice shoots straight from the depths of her soul into the hearts of those listening, filling the space with her bottomless voice. Witnessing her performances is a deeply intimate and moving experience. Her songwriting offers a unique balance of masterful musicianship and sincere vulnerability that we all need so much in times like these."

Lynn O'Brien, International Performing Artist/Songwriter, Improv Vocalist, Board-Certified Music Therapist, Keynote Speaker

"Listening to Jen Bluhm is a whole-body experience. Her mesmerizing yet powerful voice and gorgeously intelligent songwriting engages your mind, tugs at your heart, lifts your spirit and captures your full attention. Whether as a solo performer or with a full band, Jen creates an all-encompassing experience rather than just a simple performance. Whatever she does, she does it with a deep and intense passion."

Thank you a WHOLE LOT!!! - Jen A quick note for my friends that use closed captions, there is a marimba solo near the end of the song. I ran into some technical difficulties with adding that into the lyric video itself. Thank you for your patience while I am figuring that out! I just want to tell you that I've not forgotten you! Love, Jen. Lyrics: Just a little bit Just a little bit Just a little bit more of you and me And we could fall in love Just a little bit Just a little bit Just a little bit closer when we touch Oh, it would mean so much If you look at me a little longer, baby I think you'll find the one you fell for So many years ago Well, I'm not your girl, but I'm your woman And hard times have come, but I'm still willin' To fall back into love with you Just a little bit Just a little bit Just a little bit longer when we kiss We'll feel like kids again Just a little bit Just a little bit Just a little bit slower when we dance And make romance, OH! If you take my hand, I will follow, Darlin' Please understand, You're the one I'm wantin' And I have loved you for so long Just a little bit Just a little but Just a little bit, OH music & lyrics - Jen Bluhm vocals & guitar - Waltzing On Waves piano - Adam Michaelson marimba - Jenny Klukken congas - Jaime Pelaez drums - Michael Bissonette recording engineers - Stephen Helvig/Droptone Studio & Andrew Goulson mixing and editing - Stephen Helvig/Helvig Productions mastering - Rare Form Mastering
